How to upgrade the protection level of LED indoor display module?

At present, SMD display is the mainstream and mature product in the market. Small space is widely used in conference rooms, courts, public security bureaus, procuratorates, command centers, television stations, etc. at the same time, channel sales have been widely used in shopping malls, dining halls, schools, public construction and other places.
For the general indoor LED display screen, when the product is delivered, it is in the state of zero failure, but after a period of use, there will be the phenomenon of broken lights and lights, and the situation of light falling due to human inadvertent collision; in the installation site environment, sometimes there will be unforeseen or unsatisfactory scene, for example, the air conditioner tuyere close direct blowing Due to the influence of temperature difference, a large area of bad points are caused, or the site environment is too humid, which causes the bad point rate of the screen to rise day by day. For the indoor small space industry that has passed the inspection for half a year, how to solve the problems caused by water vapor, dust, bumping, broken lamp rate and so on, we have to improve the product quality and reduce the burden and cost of after-sales service, which is the problem that led manufacturers want to solve.
Therefore, in order to effectively solve the problems mentioned, so as to produce the so-called surface coating solution. This solution is based on the current indoor surface mounted LED display, and the equipment can be directly combined with the existing SMT surface mounted production line, as shown in Figure 2.
The lamp plate is made by SMT surface mounting process. After 72 hours of aging, the surface of the lamp plate is coated to form a so-called protective layer, which can wrap the conductive pins to prevent moisture and moisture, as shown in Figure 3. For general LED display products, the protection level is IP40 (ipxx, front x dust-proof, rear x waterproof), which can effectively improve the protection level of LED lamp surface, and provide anti-collision effect, avoid lamp dropping, and reduce the whole screen defect rate (PPM). At present, this kind of solution has been corresponding to the market demand, popularized mature production, and for the overall cost burden It’s not going to increase too much.

In addition, the protection process on the back of the printed circuit board (PCB) keeps the three proofing paint protection process used in the past, as shown in Figure 4. Generally, the protection level of the back of the PCB can be improved through the spraying process, and the surface of the integrated circuit (IC) can be coated to form a protective layer, so as to avoid the failure of the integrated circuit components of the drive circuit.

Through this solution, LED display modules for indoor use can effectively block the failure points caused by moisture and dust by wrapping the exposed electrical conduction pins. At the same time, the wrapping effect can provide the effect of collision protection.
