LED display used for outdoor advertising requires much higher environment than ordinary display. Outdoor LED display screen will be affected by high temperature, typhoon, rainstorm, thunderstorm and other bad weather during use. Therefore, safety measures should be taken to keep the display screen safe in bad weather. The following is a short introduction to the outdoor LED display and the preventive measures against bad weather.

First, high temperature prevention. The outdoor LED display screen generally has a large area, large power consumption in the application process, and the corresponding calorific value is also large. In addition, the external temperature is high, which can not solve the heat dissipation problem in time, and there may be problems such as heating and short circuit of the circuit board. During production, it is confirmed that the display circuit board is in good condition, and the punching design is selected for possible shell design to help cool the heat. During installation, the display is well ventilated according to the display. If necessary, add cooling equipment on the display, just like installing air conditioner or blower inside to cool the display.
Secondly, the installation positions of typhoon prevention and outdoor LED display screens are different, and the installation methods are also different, including wall sticking type, mosaic type, column type, suspension type, etc. There are strict requirements for the load-bearing steel frame structure of the display screen in typhoon season to prevent the screen of outdoor LED display screen from falling down. While designing and installing in strict accordance with typhoon grade standards, the engineering unit shall also have certain seismic capacity to prevent outdoor LED display from falling, causing casualties and other losses.
Third, prevent rainstorm. It rains heavily in the south, so the LED display screen itself can not be eroded by rainwater only if the waterproof protection level is high. In the outdoor use environment, the outdoor LED display must reach the protection level of IP65, the module must be potted and packaged, the waterproof shell shall be selected, and the module and the box shall be connected with a waterproof rubber ring. The lightning protection of outdoor LED display screen is mainly composed of four parts.
1. Direct lightning protection: outdoor LED display screen is not within the direct lightning protection range of nearby high-rise buildings, so it is necessary to set lightning rod on or near the top of the display steel structure.
2. Induced lightning protection: the outdoor LED display power supply system is provided with level 1-2 power lightning protection, the signal line is provided with signal lightning arrester, the power supply system of the machine room is provided with level 3 lightning protection, and the signal lightning arrester is set at the signal output / input indoor equipment side.
3. All LED display lines (power supply and signal) must be shielded and laid.
4. The front of outdoor LED display screen and the grounding system of machine room shall meet the system requirements. Generally, the front grounding resistance shall be less than or equal to 4ohm, and the grounding resistance of machine room shall be less than or equal to 1ohm. With these protective measures, the outdoor LED display can work safely even in the worst environment. It often rains recently.
