1. Viewing distance
Because the LED electronic large screen is a point light, and the LCD splicing screen is a surface light, so in close viewing, the LED screen will appear grainy, while the LCD screen will not appear this problem. Therefore, it is better to select LCD splicing screen for nearby viewing. However, if the viewing distance is about 3-50 meters, the LED electronic large screen is relatively high. Because of its high brightness and clear and delicate picture, the viewing distance is relatively long.
2. Display area
The display size of LCD screen is 55 inches. If the area is larger than this size, it needs to be spliced. However, because the LCD splicing screen is designed by a narrow black edge, there will be splicing gaps when splicing, which will affect the overall picture beauty. Because the LED electronic large screen adopts seamless splicing technology, no matter how large the splicing area is, there is no splicing gap, and the larger the splicing area is, the higher the definition is. Therefore, LED screen can be selected for large area splicing, and LCD screen can be selected for small area splicing.
3. Display effect
LED display screen is a point light source, so it can be spliced into 2K, 4K, 8K, 16:9 And 4:3 display screen, and its image quality is higher, color reproduction is higher, contrast is higher, so the display effect is better. The display effect of LCD splicing screen is poor because of its low brightness and poor color restoration.
4. Resolution
The resolution of small spacing LED display is pixel density, that is, the number of lamp beads. That is to say, the higher the resolution, the higher the number of lamp beads per unit area. If we want to achieve 4K resolution, the larger the display area. That is to say, the larger the distance is, the larger the area needed for the 2K resolution of point-to-point is. At present, the 55 inch LCD can achieve 2K resolution.
3. Brightness
The brightness of LED electronic large screen is about 300cd-1200cd. If an induction module is installed in the control card, the brightness of the screen can be automatically adjusted according to the surrounding environment. It is generally suitable for large application scenarios. The LCD splicing screen has lower brightness, which is suitable for small area display size viewing, and is more suitable for long-term viewing.
5. Refresh frequency
The refresh frequency of small space LED display can reach 3840hz, or even higher. The refresh frequency of traditional LED electronic large screen is between 720-1920hz, which can meet the needs of human eyes. The resolution of LCD is between 60-120hz.
6. Color resolution
Color resolution refers to the actual viewing experience of color range in contrast index, that is, the color reducibility of LED display screen. There is no standard measurement method. But throughout the LED electronic large screen and LCD screen, small spacing LED display has higher color reduction and higher contrast. Therefore, the color resolution of small spacing LED display is higher than that of LCD.
7. Color range
The color range of small spacing LED display is relatively large, which is called natural wide gamut product, while the color range of LCD depends on which light source is used. Generally speaking, in addition to the application scenarios such as radio and television pay more attention to the range of color restoration, other display fields do not pay so much attention.
8. Unit thickness
Although the LED display manufacturers continue to optimize and improve the LED electronic large screen, the unit thickness is relatively large. The thickness of the waterproof standard box of outdoor LED display is 130mm, and the maintenance channel is 450-600mm, which is thicker. Although the small spacing LED display can be installed before maintenance, its thickness is still between 50-60mm. The thickness of LCD is about 20-30mm.
9. Point defect
Point defects refer to the bad points, bright spots, dead lights, dark spots, color channels and color blocks in the process of using the product. As the SMD is used for reflow soldering package of LED electronic large screen, the false soldering rate and dead light rate are higher, and the reliability is lower. However, LCD uses backlight, so the probability of point defect is relatively low.
10. Heat dissipation
Although the LED electronic large screen is packaged with energy-saving LED beads, due to its large area and high pixel density, its power consumption is relatively large, the heat generated is also high, and the heat dissipation performance is relatively low. LCD has better heat dissipation performance because of its low power consumption.
11. Consumables and service life
The service life of LED display is related to lamp beads. Generally speaking, the service life of LED display is about 5-10 years, while the service life of LCD is relatively low. In addition, if part of the LED display is damaged, point-to-point maintenance can be carried out, while the maintenance of LCD can not be carried out point-to-point.
